Yo heave ho...

Ok! Been working on my knowledge page and I think it's done. I'm probably going to add a few decorative graphics here and there but I think this is pretty cool as it is. What do you think? In other words, COMMENTS ARE MANDATORY FOR THIS ENTRY. Thank you and come again.

And despite this entry's title, no ho's were harmed in the making of this page.

The words are a little hard to make out because of background looking blury with word content of its own...which is fighting against your text. Maybe change font type and colours. Play with it ;)

May I itemize?
:

Too many acronyms. We know they look cool, but they have to go and be replaced by the full spelling.

Nice dual split screen watermark.

For "Ten Graces for New Librarians", applaud:
"You have your degree, but you make your education every day. One of the great joys of being a librarian is that it is the last refuge of the renaissance person — everything you have ever read or learned or picked up is likely to come in handy."

For the "Philosophy" item, you forgot an apostrophe at the end of "The Philosophers Magazine" link.

Nice links. Make more for us that share your interests.

I think you're doing a great job! I am just figuring out the ins and outs of this blogger.. Have had a list-serve via yahoogroups http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kendall
for about 4 years, and it is good for what it is for-- but this seemed like a nice change.
I like your headings and your graphics. Do you do html? Or do you get your templates from another locale? Any tips for a rookie???
Thumbs up!

tursachan : Thanks, baby. So do you! *kiss*

ArtisticSpirit : You're right. I was planning on doing this. I've just got to think of what exactly to do (colour change, bolding text, lighten background, etc.)

MS : Yeah, I know. I want to put a whole bunch and not just the ones that I'm somehow connected to, but I'll have to think of the best and prettiest way to do it. And thank you.

Melly Durham : Again, another good point. I also want to make it literally more understandable. I never liked the way blogger worded those links and info.

"L" : Thanks! I started with one of the blogger templates for the main page and then played with it. I know a whole bunch of HTML and CSS, plus XML/XSL and a little Javascript. Tips? Play around. HTML is pretty easy once you understand the basic idea of the tags, end tags, and properties. And don't be afraid to steal. You can look at the source code for most web pages so if you like something, take a look to see how it's done and then make it your's.
